A documentary about the market. The meanings and implications of this institution that dominates the imaginary universe of contemporary citizens, with its strength, its driving power and its omnipresence. From politics to economics, from living and consuming habits, everything goes through the scrutiny of this quasi-God.

Explored through images that reveal the way of being in some of the main markets in Brazil, such as Caruaru (PE), Ver o Peso (PA), Ciudad del Este (border with Paraguay), Taguatinga Imports Fair (DF), Municipal Market and Bovespa (SP), the notion of market vanishes and becomes an environment of exchange and coexistence. The diversity of colors, accents, products, ways of life, presented through the filter of commercial relations, with its morals and ethics.

The characters in the documentary directed by Leonardo Brant and Pedro Caldas are economists, thinkers of the relationship between society and market, as well as ordinary citizens, who inhabit and survive the daily struggle of formal and informal markets, which multiply driven by a new class C, eager for consumption, information and access to the globalized world.

In Everything in the World, the entrails, micro-powers, popular wisdom and the worldview of those who make and are made up of the market are explored with dissonant images, sounds, colors and speeches. The relationship between culture and market, the notion of economic development, the search for happiness and loss of meaning are evident.

The economic crisis is the backdrop that contrasts with everyday market practices. It's also a supporting character. The account that the global financial market imposes on local markets, the ways in which these markets deal with the effects of the crisis in their daily lives based on their sociocultural dynamics, become points of reflection to be explored in the documentary.

The focus is on consumer culture, as it is established in social dynamics, around territories of exchange, dialogue, convergence of interests. Markets with their flows of economy, people, behavior. The living wheel is formed from the need to consume, buy, sell, survive. The struggle for space in society transcends legality: the rule of law, the civilized world, escapes its grasp.

The informal market is the parable of the crisis. Gerson's Law is the ethical paradigm that governs interpersonal relationships. Caruaru is the best translation for Wall Street.
